'Scarecorw H' Invited to 'K-Metaverse EXPO'

The Art & Technology Lab (AT Lab) at the Korea National University of Arts (K-ARTS, President Kim Dae-jin) announced that its interdisciplinary metaverse performance, Scarecrow H, will be staged at the ‘K-Metaverse Expo & K-metaverse Festival’ held at COEX Hall C in Seoul from December 16 to 18.

■ A Proven Hybrid Metaverse Masterpiece

Scarecrow H is Korea’s first hybrid metaverse performance, reimagined from the award-winning Scarecrow VRC—a global sensation that swept three major international awards:

- Best Immersive Narrative at the Raindance Film Festival (UK)

- Digital Storytelling Innovation Award from Columbia University’s DSL (USA)

- Best Technical Innovation at the Sandbox Immersive Festival (China)

The performance utilizes the social VR platform ‘VRChat,’ allowing global users and live actors to connect simultaneously in a virtual space to co-create a live immersive narrative. Its domestic premiere at the DDP Design Museum in November recorded 91 consecutive sold-out sessions, proving its immense popularity and artistic appeal.
